I personally regret not taking the fight as far up as I could, though. I gave in to the frustration, and just wanted to forget about it all. The memory still haunts me to this day – though it helps a bit to know that I was wrongfully accused.

So there’s my suggestion: keep fighting the accusations by telling your story. Take it as far as you need to get it off your record. Now, I don’t know if that’ll be possible – but if I could go back, that’s what I’d do. I’d defend my name and reputation with utmost ferocity. 

For me, the accusation brought about some of the worst feelings I ever encountered. Knowing my true innocence helps, but the sense of injustice will probably always remain.
